Bowenwork in Memphis TN

Rolfing Memphis TN Neck Pain

What is Bowenwork in Memphis TN? A system of touch that initiates a series of responses throughout the nervous system, musculoskeletal and fascial systems and the energetic pathways.

Bowenwork addresses the body as a whole - improves circulation and lymphatic drainage and enhances the assimilation of nutrients and the elimination of toxins.

Bowenwork stimulates the body's autonomic nervous system to rebalance - once this occurs the body can initiate a healing response on structural and energetic levels.

Bowenwork is gentle on the body - effective and appropriate for all ages.

How Bowenwork originated

Bowenwork was developed in the 1950s by the late Thomas Bowen (1903-1982) of Geelong, Australia. He developed a technique that combined specific "moves" and pauses allowing the body time to integrate the changes during those pauses between sets of moves. According to the Victorian Government 1974 survey of alternative health practitioners, Mr. Bowen was able to completely resolve 85% of the problems for which treatment was sought.
